Fairy Fans with her colt foal by Thatching in 1987 Bought at Jim Joel's dispersal sale, she was a brood-mare from one of the real aristocratic families in racing. She was also one of the first horses to have her life saved, when she broke her leg on the gallops at Newmarket. She bred eight winners from eleven foals of racing age, including the very useful Protection, successful in both codes. She was also the dam of Fairy Free, Prairie Grove, Don't Shoot Fairies and Grand Bank, who were all bred by us. |
